Travelodium Travel Magazine 6 October 2019

Hi Everyone,

After a long layoff of working back in an office I’m back writing on my travel website again despite not actually travelling as yet.

I have another 3 months to go in my job where I’ve been working as a Statistical Analyst.

Anyway I’ll be bringing back some of the same features of the old magazine and hopefully some new stuff

New Twitter Followers

Here I give a shout out to a few of my new followers on my Twitter page. As I write I have 19,280 Twitter followers. Here are a couple of my new followers from this week.

Places to stay

Coming from Australia I’ve been to Singapore quite a lot and my favourite hotel in Singapore was demolished a few years ago. I really haven’t replaced it. as most people would know Singapore is a difficult place to get a great room. I don’t like the hotels in the main business district and like to go a bit out of town. The MRT is great so its easy to get around.

Anyone who’s been to Japan would be familiar with Pod Hotels so I was interested to find this in Singapore

The Pod Boutique Capsule Hotel

Beach Road near Arab Street and Little India its only 5-7 minutes to 2 MRT stations and as I remember it there are plenty of food courts in that area and also nice cafe’s within a 15 minute walk. I’ve added a link below for more information. But its certainly something different for those on a budget in Singapore.
