Rendezvous Hotel -Singapore

Rendezvous Hotel is located in the centre of Singapore just off the eastern end of Orchard Rd. The hotel is only a short walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station which makes it very convenient to get around the city if you don’t want to use taxis. You are able to travel to many places quicker on the MRT due to the one way nature of Singapore’s road system. (particularly at peak hour).

The area around the hotel is well serviced with restaurants and has a very close 7/11 for any grocery needs. Also very close to the hotel is the National Museum of Singapore which is a beautiful building dating back to 1887.

The hotel is 3 stars and has about 300 rooms. I found the hotel staff to be efficient and friendly however on the negative side I thought the in-house movies at S$18 was too expensive. The rooms were clean and of good quality. The hotel has a very nice pool area on the 3rd floor a picture of it is below.

Normally when I go to Singapore I stay at the Copthorne Orchid Hotel but it was being renovated at the time. I would normally stay there due to the lack of traffic noise. I was on the 8th floor at the Rendezvous and didn’t experience very much traffic noise at all. On the whole I was quite happy with my stay there and would recommend the hotel if you are looking for a 3 star budget hotel in Singapore.
